Mouser-Sponsored Rebellion Race Team Continues Winning Streak

November 24, 2014 - Mouser Electronics, Inc., the global authorized distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, congratulates the 2014 Rebellion Racing Team for a stunning victory in Bahrain in the seventh round of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship.

The Mouser-sponsored Rebellion Racing team achieved a seventh LMP1-L win in seven races. Mouser is sponsoring the team in partnership with LEMO, a global leader in the design and production of precision custom connection solutions. The team's primary sponsor is Rebellion, a Swiss manufacturer of high-end watches.

The Rebellion R-One Toyota cars, #13 and #12 received the checkered flag in sixth and seventh places overall, and finished first and second in the LMP1-L class. It's the third consecutive one-two LMP1-L class finish for the Mouser-sponsored team in three races, following victories in Fuji and Shanghai.

Nick Heidfeld, Nicolas Prost and Mathias Beche secured their victory in the No. 12 car. Andrea Belicchi, Dominik Krahaimer and Fabio Leimer, finished in second place in No. 13. It was an identical finish to their victory at Shanghai two weeks ago.

"We are very happy to see both cars get to the end of the 6-hour race with an almost trouble-free run," said Bart Hayden, the Rebellion Racing Team Manager. "It's been an enjoyable week because we've taken the momentum that we started to pick up in the previous races and carried it forward here. Improvements made with the cars during the weekend are significant and the pace compared to the hybrid factory cars was closer than in the recent races."

For the last race of the season the Mouser-LEMO sponsored team travels to Brazil for the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, set for November 30. Rebellion Racing won the FIA Endurance LMP1 Team Trophy in 2012 and 2013.
