Qorvo TGA2224 Wideband Power Amp, Now at Mouser Electronics, Offers 5W Output for Radar and Communications Systems

The TGA2224 amplifier produces greater than 37 dBm (5 W) of saturated output power and 16 dB of large-signal gain, making the device ideal for commercial and defense systems.

The Qorvo TGA2224 power amplifier, available from Mouser Electronics, is fabricated on Qorvo's production 0.15 µm gallium nitride (GaN)-on-silicon carbide process (QGaN15) and produces required power and gain while achieving greater than 20 percent power-added efficiency (PAE). The TGA2224 has a frequency range of 32 GHz to 38 GHz and can support a wide range of operating conditions, including pulsed and continuous wave. The TGA2224 radio frequency ports — matched to 50 ohms — are direct current coupled to ground for improved electrostatic discharge performance.

Applications for the TGA2224 include radar, satcom systems, electronic warfare, space communications, and point-to-point communications.
