Würth Elektronik BLUETOOTH® Smart Modules employ Bluetooth Smart technology. The Bluetooth Smart Technology was previously called Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and is a part of the Bluetooth core specification from Bluetooth v4.0. These modules enable Bluetooth wireless connectivity for cost-effective, small, battery-operated devices that require months or years of battery life. The Bluetooth Smart modules incorporate Bluetooth wireless technology into watches, proximity tags, sports and fitness sensors, healthcare sensors, and remote controls.

Proteus-I - 4.2 BLUETOOTH Smart Modules
Proteus-I - 4.2 BLUETOOTH Smart Modules are ultra-low power wireless modules that feature Nordic nRF52832 System-on-Chip (SoC). This nRF52832 SoC includes a 2.4GHz transceiver and an Arm Cortex-M4F CPU flash memory. The Proteus-I - 4.2 modules incorporate Embedded BLUETOOTH 4.2 Smart technology and come with Amber SPP-over-BLE profile. These modules are meant for cost-effective, low-power applications.
Proteus-II - 5.0 BLUETOOTH Smart Modules
Proteus-II - 5.0 BLUETOOTH Smart Modules can send data packets with 2Mb/s data rates. These modules incorporate High Throughput Mode that allows sending multiple wireless packets per connection interval and increases the data throughput up to 200kb/s. The Proteus-II - 5.0 BLUETOOTH Smart Modules combine all of the features of Proteus-I with optimized data throughput.
Proteus-III - BLUETOOTH LE 5.1 Smart Module
Proteus-III - BLUETOOTH LE 5.1 Smart Module includes device information service (DIS). A payload size of up to 964 bytes and six configurable digital IO pins. This module features a high throughput mode, peripheral-only mode, and scan and connect in long-range mode. The smart antenna configuration makes this module a 2-in-1 product.
