Texas Instruments TPS6280x 1A Ultra-Low Iq Step-Down Converters

Texas Instruments TPS6280x 1A Ultra-Low Iq Step-Down Converters offer a tiny solution size of 1.05 x 0.70mm in a chip scale package. Providing 2.3µA typical quiescent current, the TPS6280x Converters maintain high efficiency by seamlessly entering power save mode to reduce switching cycles. The device operates with tiny inductors and capacitors via TI’s DCS-Control™ topology creating up to a 4MHz/1.5MHz switching frequency.

A 1.2V fixed output voltage is achieved by connecting the VSEL/MODE pin to GND, and 16 internally set output voltages can be selected with only one external resistor connected to VSEL/MODE pin. Enter Forced PWM Mode once the TPS6280x has started up by applying a high level at the VSEL/MODE pin. The device runs at typically 4MHz/1.5MHz switch frequency, enabling the lowest output voltage ripple in Forced PWM Mode. The TPS6280x Step-Down Converters come in a tiny 6-pin WCSP package with a 0.35mm pitch.
