Texas Instruments TAA5412-Q1 Stereo Audio ADC
Texas Instruments TAA5412-Q1 Stereo Audio Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) is a 2-channel high-performance audio ADC that supports analog input signals up to 10VRMS with a dynamic range of 112dB. The TAA5412-Q1 allows for single-ended and differential input configurations and supports line and microphone inputs with AC and DC coupling options. This device offers programmable microphone bias, an integrated high-voltage, and input diagnostic circuitry directly connecting microphone-based automotive systems with full fault diagnostic capability for direct-coupled inputs. The TAA5412-Q1 uses an external, low-voltage, 3.3V supply to integrate an efficient boost converter to generate a high-voltage microphone bias. The device can create this microphone bias by using an external high-voltage supply (HVDD), which is any readily available supply in the system. The Texas Instruments TAA5412-Q1 integrates the programable channel gain, a low-jitter phase-locked loop (PLL), digital volume control, a programmable high-pass filter (HPF), bi-quad filters, and decimation filters with low and ultra-low latency filter modes. It allows for sample rates up to 768kHz. The TAA5412-Q1 supports I2S, time-division multiplexing (TDM), or left-justified (LJ) audio formats. It can be controlled with the I2C or SPI interface. These integrated high-performance features and a single 3.3V supply operation make the TAA5412-Q1 device an excellent choice for scalable, space-constrained automotive systems.
