Analog Devices Inc. GMSL3/GMSL2 Serializer/Deserializer Kits
Analog Devices GMSL3/GMSL2 Serializer/Deserializer Kits provide a paired evaluation path for transporting MIPI CSI-2 camera data across GMSL3 or GMSL2 coax links in embedded vision and imaging systems. Together, these kits support rapid bring-up of camera-to-processor links for robotics, industrial vision, ADAS prototyping, and other distributed sensing applications.
The ADI AD-GMSL792MIPI-EVK serves as the deserializer-side board, converting dual GMSL3/GMSL2 camera links into MIPI CSI-2 outputs for SoC platforms through the MAX96792 dual deserializer. The AD-GMSL793MIPI-EVK serves as the serializer-side board, bridging a single MIPI CSI-2 camera input to a single GMSL3/GMSL2 serial link via the MAX96793 serializer, making it the camera-side endpoint in a complete evaluation chain when paired with the AD-GMSL792MIPI-EVK.
The kits are designed for NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi, and AMD SoC platforms, and both support cable lengths up to 15m for compact camera-link evaluation. The AD-GMSL792MIPI-EVK emphasizes dual-link deserialization and dual MIPI CSI-2 output connectivity, while AD-GMSL793MIPI-EVK focuses on single-link serialization, camera-side integration, and forward-link migration from GMSL2 to 12Gbps GMSL3.
