Microchip Technology MCP2221A USB Type-C® Breakout Board
Microchip Technology MCP2221A USB Type-C® Breakout Board is a development and evaluation platform for the MCP2221A device. The board provides a convenient way to access MCP2221A features for USB-to-UART, I2C, and SMBus protocol conversion, along with GPIO control and ADC/DAC operation.
The MCP2221A USB-C Breakout Board uses a compact Dual In-line Package form factor, making it well-suited for prototyping and development environments. The Microchip MCP2221A USB-C Breakout Board also includes a USB-C connector for modern host connectivity and a PICkit™ Serial Analyzer header for UART and I2C/SMBus communication.
The breakout board is ideal for developers evaluating USB bridge functionality, GPIO configuration, and mixed-signal control features in prototype systems. The board supports jumper-selectable 3.3V or 5V power and includes four configurable GP lines for GPIO, dedicated, or alternate function operation.
