Advantech ADAM-518E/518 24-Ch T/C Input Modules
Advantech ADAM-518E/518 24-Ch T/C Input Modules provide 24-channel thermocouple (T/C) input for multi-point temperature monitoring. The ADAM-518 supports RS-485 communication with ADAM ASCII and Modbus/RTU protocols. The ADAM-518E supports 10/100 Base-T Ethernet communication with ADAM ASCII and Modbus/TCP protocols.
These modules support independent channel configuration, 16-bit resolution, and ±0.5°C cold-junction compensation (CJC) sensor accuracy. Thermocouple type and input range configuration via ADAM Utility requires no programming. The 24-channel design helps reduce module count, wiring, and cabinet space in industrial control cabinets.
The ADAM-518E adds dual local area network (LAN) ports for Ethernet daisy-chain connection and auto-bypass support during power loss. Built-in Graphic Condition Logic (GCL) allows simple control logic to run directly on the module without a programmable logic controller (PLC) or personal computer (PC).
