Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. TVS Diodes are available in both unidirectional (unipolar) or bidirectional (bipolar) diodes circuit configurations. 

Automotive TVS Diodes

Littelfuse AEC-Q101 Qualified TVS Diodes protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by load dump and other transient voltage events. These AEC-Q101 qualified devices offer peak pulse power dissipation ratings of 400W (SZ1SMA) to 3000W (TPSMD). Littelfuse AEC-Q101 Qualified TVS Diodes are ideal for applications such as DC power protection and ESD protection in automotive electronics such as electronic control units, sensors, and entertainment systems, as well as in portable devices that require high reliability. 

SD22 950W Discrete Unidirectional TVS Diode

Littelfuse SD22 950W Discrete Unidirectional TVS Diode is designed for electronic equipment in low-speed and DC applications. It protects sensitive equipment from damage due to electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other transient events. The SD22 diode safely absorbs repetitive ESD strikes at ±30kV (contact discharge, IEC 61000-4-2) without performance degradation. It also safely dissipates 27A of 8/20μs induced surge current (IEC 61000-4-5 2nd edition) with very low clamping voltages. Littelfuse SD22 950W Discrete Unidirectional TVS Diode is halogen free, lead free, and RoHS compliant. Applications include switches and buttons, test equipment and instrumentation, medical equipment, computer peripherals, and more.

SD / SD-C 450W Discrete TVS Diodes

Littelfuse SD Unidirectional and SD-C Bidirectional 450W Discrete TVS Diodes are designed to replace multilayer varistors (MLVs) in electronic equipment for low-speed and DC applications. These 450W TVS diodes are designed to protect any sensitive equipment from damage due to electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other transient events. Littelfuse SD / SD-C TVS diodes can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes at ±30kV (contact discharge, IEC 61000-4-2) without performance degradation and safely dissipate up to 30A of 8/20μs induced surge current (IEC61000-4-5) with very low clamping voltages.
