X-Hood One-Piece Banded D-Sub Backshells

Positronic X-Hood Precision-Machined One-Piece Banded Backshells for D-sub connectors serve a wide range of applications across the military/aerospace (mil/aero), spaceflight, and industrial sectors. The X series is made from lightweight aluminum and designed with a slotted, knurled, banded elliptical entry. These Positronic one-piece backshells are available in six shell sizes and offer flexibility with top, top low-profile, front, 45°, and 90° side-entry options. The one-piece construction provides a spacious interior and minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMI) leakage and environmental ingress. The design features also maintain mechanical stability in high-shock environments. Offered in multiple plating finishes and with fixed or rotating jackscrews, the X-Hood backshells perform reliably in demanding conditions from -55°C to +125°C.
