ESD Protection Solutions

Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. Intelligent Outlet Solutions

The bidirectional arrays have a typical capacitance of 0.09pF to ensure excellent signal integrity on the most challenging consumer electronics interfaces, including USB 3.1, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, and V-by-One®. Littelfuse SP3213 TVS Diodes can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes at ±12kV (contact discharge, IEC 61000-4-2) without performance degradation and safely dissipate 2A of 8/20μs surge current (IEC 61000-4-5 2nd edition).
