Arc Flash Detection Point Sensor & Connector

Broadcom Arc Flash Detection Point Sensor and Connector are part of a comprehensive arc flash detection portfolio. This sensor and connector in combination with the AFBR-S10TR001Z transceiver are used for the detection of arc flash events. The AFBR-S10PS010Z point sensor captures the light and feeds it into a Plastic Optical Fiber (POF). This sensor features self-supervision functionality with an inbuilt coupling between two fibers. The AFBR-S10PS011Z miniature connector is used to connect a duplex POF cable to the point sensor. The AFBR-S10PS010Z special POF-based sensor is designed to avoid any galvanic contact between the arc flash area and the detection electronics.
