This connector features a 68‑position receptacle and plug, which enables the implementation of a high‑speed Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk drive (HDD) interface. The SAS/PCIe 6.0 (U.2/SFF8639) connector also supports implementation of Peripheral Component Express (PCIe^®) based devices. This connector provides a molded guidepost that allows the device plug and receptacle to self-align during mating.
