High Capacity Photorelays

Toshiba High Capacity Photorelays are available as solid-state relays (SSR) or MOSFET output optocouplers and are typically used as signal relay replacements. High-capacity photorelays include products with ION>1A on-state current. Photorelays are semiconductor relays made up of an LED optically coupled to a MOSFET. Optocouplers are used for various applications, ranging from industrial equipment to home appliances and equipment. These Toshiba single-circuit photorelays can handle both AC and DC loads. Photorelays are available in through-hole or SMT/SMD mounting styles in a wide range of package types with an operating temperature range of -20°C to +110°C.

TLP35xxA High-Current Photorelays

Toshiba TLP35xxA High-Current Photorelays apply state-of-the-art U-MOSVIII process technology MOSFETs optically coupled with an LED, reducing board space and improving system reliability. The TLP35xxA Photorelays feature a rated operating temperature of +110°C and a high ON-state current rating of ION=5A, IONP=15A (TLP3543A). The ON-state current is three times larger than the rated steady ON-state current providing improved design safety. The OFF-state output terminal voltage offers a wide range of options from 30V, 60V, 100V, and 200V. Packages include DIP-6 and DIP-4, with both Gull Wing (SMD) and wide creepage options. The TLP35xxA High-Current Photorelays have an ON-state current range of 0.7A to 5.0A, making it ideal for numerous DC or AC applications and industrial applications.

Discrete Thermostat Solution

Toshiba Discrete Thermostat Solution provides improved reliability and performance in a smaller footprint. The accelerating demand for energy-efficient solutions and a surge in the number of smart home devices will encourage significant growth for smart thermostats. Efficient energy savings, smart controlling, and reduction in per unit energy cost are some underlining parameters that will guide the industry moving forward. It’s essential to reduce power consumption and space requirements and improve operating life to increase the functionality and performance of these devices. Toshiba offers products that meet these critical requirements with the current LDO technologies and photo relays, which have garnered much success in thermostats and other similar designs.
